Agia Paraskevi is located in the north west of Lesvos. It owes its name to the small church of Agia Paraskevi, built inside a cave. Beautiful town with traditional architecture and many traditional buildings. It is known for its local customs and the festival of the Bull (end of June-beginning of July), during which a bull is sacrificed, which goes back to ancient times.

It also stands out for the unique ruins of two archaic temples in Greece: the Aeolian style temple (8th–6th century) in the Klopedi area and the Ionian style Sanctuary of the Means which was dedicated to the gods Zeus, Hera and Dionysus. Also of interest is the Industrial Olive Oil Museum of Lesvos  at the site of the old community olive mill, where you can see the evolution of the olive oil production process from the old traditional manual way to its automation.
