The Information Center for the Geopark of Lesvos is located very close to the port of Mytilene. Across from the Archaeological Museum, it is a welcoming space for visitors of the island, providing them with information about the Geopark of Lesvos, the Petrified Forest and opportunities to visit it, the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest, and the most important geological monuments on the island. Specimens of petrified trees and photographic material are inviting previews of the geological monument’s grandeur.
Visitors can also be informed through visuo-acoustic material on the Geopark of Lesvos, the Petrified Forest of Lesvos, the most important geological monuments of the island, the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest, the Kalloni Environmental Information Center, and the birding opportunities on the island.
