The Folklore Museum of Mesotopos is housed in a traditional building with the typical local architecture in order to highlight and preserve the cultural elements of the place over time.
The Museum’s collection includes objects that represent the way of life in the late 19th and during the 20th century. Tools, household utensils, furniture, work tools, etc. which come from donations from the villagers.The Museum also houses archaeological findings from the wider region. In particular, the Museum hosts parts of architectural members such as a marble column with an honorary inscription to Constantine the Great from the area of Chroussos and parts of the chests of an early Christian basilica from the area of Podaras.
The Museum operates during the summer months during which folklore events are organized with targeted presentations, events and photography exhibitions.
