They are located approximately 1.8 km south of Sigri and are a system consisting of the estuary of the Farkonia stream (in the center) and two seasonal marshes (on either side).
The vegetation includes rushes (Vitex agnus-castus), scirpus (Scirpus holoschoenus), reeds (Phragmites australis), rushes (Juncus spp.) and sedges (Sarcopoterium spinosum). On the side towards the beach there are stabilized dunes with Centaurea spinosa while the vegetation consists mainly of Juncus maritimus. As for the fauna, there are frogs (Pelophylax bedriagae) and river turtles (Mauremys rivulata) in significant numbers.
