It is located approximately 1.7 km north of Sigri and is a coastal wetland system, consisting mainly of marine shoals in a semi-enclosed cove.
It is fed by a small stream on the sloping land and the bed is walled and fenced
The vegetation consists of Mediterranean sedges (Juncetalia maritimi), burla (Juncus sp.) and halophytic species (Halimione portulacoides). There are also crabs and large fish in the stream, while gastropods and bivalves are found in the tidal section. Poseidonias are observed in the marine part.
