It is located approximately 3.6 km west-northwest of Lygeri.
It is an estuary of a seasonal stream that has shrunk to expand the crops on either side.
Its vegetation consists of rushes (Nerio-Tamaricetea and Securinegion tinctoriae), rushes (Juncus sp.), reeds (Phragmites australis), rushes (Typha sp.) and tamarisks (Tamarix parviflora). There are also frogs (Pelophylax bedriagae) and river turtles (Mauremys rivulata).
