Olive mill of Agia Paraskevi

Stone-built building of excellent architecture from the beginning of the century (1910), a typical example of industrial architecture. The Olive Mill is part of the whole of the island’s notable industrial buildings.

Originally an industrial complex (oil mill – flour mill), it operated as a community enterprise until 1967.

In 1984, with the support of the Prefecture of Lesvos, it was restored and turned into a spiritual center. In particular, the main building was transformed into a multi-purpose hall, with a capacity of 400 people, while the olive warehouses into a Folklore Museum and the olive fruit warehouses into 11 modern guesthouses.
