It is located 3 km south-southwest of Mesotopos and it is a wetland of 6.7 hectares.
The riparian vegetation is tree-like, with tamarisks (Tamarix sp.) and overwater, with reeds (Phragmites australis and Arundo donax), while the sandy vegetation consists mainly of (Ammophila arenearia).
