Tsichliotas River

Located 4.9 km south-southeast of Sigri, it occupies an area of 277 crowns and consists of a large part of the lower course of the river, the estuary, as well as a marshy area with stubble, southwest and parallel to the bank.

The estuary has permanent water and there are several types of vegetation: sub-aquatic, free-floating, supra-aquatic, degraded tree/shrub, wetland, sandy shore vegetation and mainly reeds (Phragmites australis, Arundo donax), rushes (Juncus spp.), wattle ( Rubus sp.), river sedges (Potamogeton spp.), myriophyllum spp., sand dune mats (Ammophila arenaria), mats (Typha spp.) potterium spinosum, thyme (Coridothymus capitatus), vitex agnus-castus ), tamarinds (Tamarix spp.), willows (Salix spp.) and oleanders (Nerium oleander).
