Gulf of Gera Hot Springs “THERMA”
The “Therma” hot springs well up in Neogene sediments which include clay and sandstones layers. The water gushes out through the large fault with a NW-SE direction that forms the eastern coast of Geras Bay and displays impressive fault surfaces. The water temperature is 39.7°C and radioactivity 1.8. The hot spring is defined as sodium chloride and the water contains ammonium chloride, sodium bromide, potassium nitrate, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, etc. It is recommended for the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis, sandblasting, bronchitis, gynecological diseases and others.
