Several Women’s Agritourism Cooperatives have been active in Lesvos since the 1990s, which contribute from their own resources to the preservation of the gastronomy culture and the promotion of Lesvos island, as well as to its economic development.
They are active in the production of traditional dishes, in an effort to offer the purest that the lesbian land produces. For example, spoon sweets, jams, pies, pasta, pastries, desserts, etc., all handmade and made with love.
The Cooperatives maintain their own workshop, as well as a showroom-shop. They undertake the catering at events, while the Women’s Cooperative of Petra maintains rooms for rent and operates a restaurant during the summer months.
